Sometimes the Magic Works

Blessed Bee

Finally slowing down after another day which feels like two. Typed up reference list of corrections to proofs to accompany MS notes. Drove to Aberystwyth to see Chris & the good news is, he's confident he can sort out the difficulties. And, I shall almost certainly be able to meet my deadlines. He was charming & unflustered & sweetly complimentary about my version of proofreading language. 'It's in English! Terrific, I can understand it!'  He's taking the MS home, would you believe in order to beginning work on it this evening. This really is beginning to feel like personal service & I'm impressed.

Managed to find some pretties for Darling Daughter. I'm now so late with her birthday presents, she could almost save them for next year. And I'm tired. Having to remind myself that I'm still in recovery. But sometimes, a girl just has to do, etcetera...

This evening I shall ignore the washing up (it's beginning to look like an art installation in my kitchen) flop in front of the tv for a while before a bath & an early night. I've finished reading The Lollipop Shoes & have just begun re-reading Gentlemen and Players. 'Tis a Joanne Harris love-in!
