Bio
'We can best help you to prevent war not by repeating your words and following your methods but by finding new words and creating new methods.'
~ Virginia Woolf

'I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is; I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat.'

* My journal is largely public because I believe most people are intrinsically decent.

* LJ is where I hone my writing, connect & occasionally, rant. The written word turns me on. I am unapologetically candid whilst endevouring always to be kind. My aim is lucidity, humour & passion leavened with occasional glimpses of personal trivia. I strive for intelligent comment but have been known to stray into the absurd. I particularly enjoy sharing with Goddess women, feminists & writers.

* I'm the author of The Gift of Weaving, a novel dealing with contemporary eco-feminist Goddess spirituality & magical realism. The story is set in West Wales & the book is now available through my website. (Link above)

My new novel, Finding Blodeuwedd, is a work in progress.

* I maintain & co-moderate an LJ community for Earth-aware Goddess women. [info]goddess_garden

* I've been a practising eco-feminist priestess of the Goddess for forty years & walk each day in sacred space. My ancestry is mostly Irish although I have lived in West Wales since 1979.

* My website (link above) is dedicated to Goddess-centric spirituality, magic, Witchcraft & writing.

* Politically, I'm a left-wing, pro-women rather than an anti-men, feminist. It's useful not to confuse the two! I'm an Aquarian with my Moon in Aries.

* Dislike intensely: war, weapons, abuse in any form, homophobia, misogyny, patriarchal interference in the choices of women, racism, religious zealots, glitterwitches, pagan hierarchy, pornography, fence-sitters, conspicuous consumption, road rage, bad time keepers, gutless politicians, Rupert Murdoch's media empire, spelling 'magic' with a 'k' & the word 'should.' My tolerance for Christo-paganism borders on non-existent. I don't accept that one can be both Goddess woman/Witch & Christian.

* I do appreciate being asked first before you add me. And I have a low tolerance toward long posts that don't appear behind an LJ-Cut. If you don't yet know how, go to FAQ Question #75. Thank you :)

I have been with you from the beginning,
utterly simple.
I will be with you when you die,
say what you will.
We shall never be finished.
This is possible,
a small gift, hush

There is nothing I have not been,
and I am come into my power.

There is nothing I cannot be.
